The RPC uniform for rallies is:

• Light coloured jodhpurs.

• Riding boots or strong footwear with a heel, chaps (if worn) are to be of matching colour to the boots and made of leather.

• Black and Green Rangiora Pony Club long-sleeved top with or without 1/4 zip. 

• OR Black and Green Rangiora Pony Club t-shirt.

• Pony club badge and appropriate certificate clip.

 

The formal RPC uniform, worn when sitting certificates or representing RPC at competitions is:

• Light coloured jodhpurs.

• Riding boots or strong footwear with a heel, chaps (if worn) are to be of matching colour to the boots and made of leather.

• Black and Green Rangiora Pony Club long-sleeved top with or without 1/4 zip.

• Pony club badge.

 

An additional optional uniform is a green and gold striped rugby jersey which can be worn at rallies and is preferred by most riders as a cross-country jersey for ODE’s, contact the secretary regarding ordering.

 

An NZ Safety Standard helmet is essential and must be worn at all times when mounted. Our Head Coach will inspect each members’ helmet at their first rally, tagging it with a yellow NZPCA issued safety compliance sticker if helmet not already tagged. 

 

Club gear packs with competition browbands, saddle blankets and cover sheets are provided for team members competing at competitions in RPC teams. All gear borrowed for these purposes must be returned promptly, failure to do so will result in a replacement charge and/or ineligibility for further competitions.

 

Back protectors are compulsory whenever riding on the cross country course.

 

Pony club badges are available from RPC for a nominal cost.

 

At each rally (and any events you compete at) a gear safety check will be done.
