Rangiora Hosted Events
We have two dates in the Pony Club calendar where we are able to run events.
In February we host our Rangiora Pony Club Show with a range of rings and classes from Lead Rein through to Versatility.
Our ODE over King's Birthday in June is a prestigious event in the calendar and is run over 2 days and is a Springston Trialist Event.
This is also by far our biggest fundraising event of the year and for that reason, it’s an all hands on deck event. Our ODE will not be held in 2024 as Rangiora will instead be hosting the Springston Trophy and it will be all hands on deck preparing for that event. We hope to see the Rangiora Pony Club ODE return in 2025.
During September, we have held an in-hand and ridden show. Now, Rangiora PC runs Stringer Trophy in its place, which is a combined training teams event.
Pony Club Events
There are many Pony Club competitions available for riders. Rangiora Pony Club runs some competitions, as do other branches. Refer to the Canterbury Area Pony Club diary for details.
On offer are competitions in the form of One Day Events (ODE/Horse Trials), Shows, Gymkhanas, Combined Training days, Show Jumping days, Dressage days, Games days, Treks, and Endurance and Trail Rides.
